been gone a really long time, just seeing if this still works.

Back For Round Two!

We were back to DTE last night for our second Kid Rock concert of the week. This time we brought the girls and they loved it! These kids are going to be in for a shock when they start going to concerts on their own. So far Evelyn has been VIP for Springsteen with Auntie Carolyn and both girls have been fairly close for everything else. Someday when they are in the cheap seats I hope they remember how cool their parents were.

The Best Night Ever

On Sunday Cory and I headed across the river to see my fella Kid Rock. This summer's tour was being touted as "The Best Night Ever for $20". So when the tickets went on sale in April it seemed everyone else wanted to have their best night ever as well, and the site froze and then the pre-sales for $20 were gone. If you could have been there when I couldn't get onto the site, you wouldn't have believed it. between us Cory and i were on 3 different computers, entering my code and still no luck, i almost started to cry. As a result I paid a little more then the advertised $20, quite a bit more in fact. I was just really worried that I wouldn't even get tickets so I bought VIP's.

Then wouldn't you know they add another five shows and I am able to get 4 great tickets all for $20 each. We are now going back to the DTE with the girls for their first Kid Rock concert ever! We are a few rows back from our Sunday night show and I'm pretty sure our pre-show tail gating activity will be less "active" but hopefully the kids will have fun and Evelyn will learn to tolerate My taste in music.

Keeping it going

It has come to my attention that if I don't post once in a while Blogger may remove my blog. That would not be a big issue except that I don't have any other documentation from those years and for awhile I was posting daily. My plan is to get the whole thing printed into a book, but until I do I will try to post once in a while just to Keep it Going.

This past weekend was Cory's annual Bocce Ball party. Again this year almost everyone was late, there was bitching about the format but we were done before dark so it was all good.

This year Scott won (for the third time) and, my friend Rob's wife, Kathryn from Italy was his partner.

The great thing about Bocce is that any one can play and it really takes no athletic ability what so ever. It also makes people who don't know each other intermingle. What I don't like is that this particular party marks the beginning of the end of summer.
